Sponsored by Coca-Cola, Avon Cycle, the popular 35th Modern Rural Mini Olympics Jarkhar Games is taking place from January 27 to 29, 2023.
The poster of Jarkhar Games was released at the Aam Aadmi Party headquarters in Chandigarh, by Secretary General Harchand Singh Barsat, MLA Kulwant Singh Sidhu, Jagrup Singh Jarkhar and other organizers.
On this occasion, Harchand Singh Barsat said that Jarkhar Games are a guide for our young generation. The Punjab government is committed to. promote the spots and will extend all possible help for organising this tournament.
In Jarkhar Games, there will be competitions including Kabaddi All Open, Kabaddi Nirol One Village Open, Hockey 6-A Side Boys, Hockey Girls 7-A Side, Hockey Under 14 Boys, Volleyball Shooting, Wrestling etc. The All Open Kabaddi Cup will be held on January 29 in memory of Naib Singh Grewal Jodha in which 8 named clubs will participate.
Dharam Singh Jarkhar Piyor ‘A village open competition’ will be held on January 28. Apart from this, boys and girls hockey cup will be organized in memory of Mahendra Pratap Singh Grewal.
About 5 motorcycles, 50 bicycles for the winning players and a prize money of Rs 1 lakh to the winning team of Kabaddi All Open, 75, 000 to the runner-up, Kabaddi only one village open, 35, 000 to the winning teams of boys and girls of hockey and the runner-up will get a prize of 25, 000 each. Sahibjit Singh Jarkhar, Paramdeep Singh and other managers were specially present on this occasion.
