Govt will open de-addiction centres across state to curb drug menace: Khattar

Chief Minister, Manohar Lal said that the government is constantly working to root out the drug menace from the state. “Taking a big step in this direction, the government has now decided to open drug de-addiction centres across the state. Apart from this, saints and eminent personalities will also be entrusted with the task of running such centres with an aim to guide the youth and bring them on the right path in life,” he said.

 

The Chief Minister was interacting with the people during a Jan Samvad programme at Sirsa’s Chormar Khera village today. He also flagged off the Sirsa-Odhan-Jalalana bus as announced by him following the demand of the locals on Saturday.

 

He took feedback from the people about the benefits of Ayushman and CHIRAYU Haryana Yojana. On the complaint of a woman regarding treatment of her child under Ayushman Yojana, the Chief Minister directed the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Sirsa, to investigate the matter and resolve the issue pertaining to Ayushman card by getting treatment of the child.

 

The Chief Minister said that under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, 15.5 lakh families of the state were being covered and further expanding the scope of this scheme, after increasing the income limit from Rs 1.20 lakh to Rs 1.80 lakh; the CHIRAYU Haryana Yojana has been launched. Now 29.5 lakh families of Haryana are being covered under Ayushman and Chirayu Haryana Yojana. For this, the state government has made a provision of about Rs 500 crore, he added.

 

He informed that 69 people in Chormar Khera village have availed the benefits under the Ayushman Yojana, on which the government has borne the expenditure of about Rs 8 lakh.

 

Temporary arrangement of rooms at Government Senior Secondary School for convenience of students

 

During the programme, the girl students of the Government Senior Secondary School, Chormar Khera village, complained about the non-construction of new rooms in the school, on which the Chief Minister said that the government has released the first installment of Rs 70 lakh for construction of rooms in the school and it will be completed soon.

 

He directed the District Education Officer for making temporary arrangement of four rooms till the new rooms are not constructed.

 

Meanwhile, on the problem of a widow of not having a house, the Chief Minister assured that the house would be provided under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

CM issues directions for action against misbehavior by policemen on duty under Dial-112 service

 

The Chief Minister also took feedback from the people regarding Dial-112 service. During this, a citizen apprised the Chief Minister that someone was forcibly occupying a road and building a house and in this regard he called 112. He complained that the policemen who came at the spot misbehaved with him. Taking cognizance of this, the Chief Minister issued directions to the Superintendent of Police for strict action against the concerned police personnel by getting the records of the incident checked from the Dial 112 headquarters.
