The Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann stands with its people in every difficult time and the government will provide adequate compensation and all possible help to the rain affected farmers. Every effort will be made to compensate the farmers for the losses caused by the recent spell of rainfall, said Rajbish Dahiya, MLA during his tour to the villages affected with recent rain to the standing crops in the field.
In border district, the villages – Karmuwala, Mohakamwala, Ittawali, Ferozsah, Mallwala, Bajidpur, Bajawala and Hakumatwala etc. – the rain and storm in Punjab has caused heavy damage to crops. To get the first hand status and to console the farmers for the loss due to natural calamity, MLA Rural Rajnish Dahiya visited these rain-affected villages in his constituency.
Added here, CM Bhagwant Mann had also directed the finance commissioner (revenue) to issue detailed instructions to the deputy commissioners concerned for immediate ‘girdawari (ground-level assessment)’ in the areas lashed by rain to ascertain the extent of the damage.
