State General Secretary of the Aam Aadmi Party Punjab, Harchand Singh Barsat, on Friday, called upon the youth to go door to door and in every locality to inspire more people to join AAP so that everyone together can work towards making Punjab a beautiful state.
Addressing the youth of Jalandhar in the presence of State Secretary Rajwinder Kaur Thiara, Jalandhar Lok Sabha in-charge Mangal Singh and Youth Welfare Board President Parminder Goldy, Harchand Singh Barsat said that AAP is a party of youth. Today we have gathered to see the enthusiasm of the youth for the Jalandhar Lok Sabha by-election.
The State General Secretary said that the policies, made by AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, have been especially made for the youth. He said that the government has started scheme so that the youth can start their own ‘business’ instead of going abroad to seek employment. He said that the governments of foreign countries give loans, information and advice etc. to their youth to start business, but in our country there was no such help from the government machinery.To start a business in the country, youth have to obtain various types of no-objection certificates and also get loans from banks at high interest rates.
The State General Secretary said that the Aam Aadmi Party government headed by Bhagwant Mann in Punjab has started the process of giving ‘one time license’ to start their business so that the youth do not face any problem. He said that like foreign countries, the Punjab government is also working on the policy of providing all kinds of required facilities to start a business. As the chief minister Bhagwant Mann says, instead of becoming job seekers, our children should become job providers. We can make this policy successful only when youth support us.
Harchand Singh Barsat said that this is the first time after 1994 that in its one year tenure, the government has given regular jobs to the youth in all the departments. He said that about 30 thousand youths were given government jobs and thousands of temporary employees have been regularized.
While congratulating Youth Welfare Board President Parminder Goldy for his appointment, Harchand Singh Barsat said that since Parminder Goldy joined the party, he has made his mark by working hard. He said that there are no Hindu, Muslim, Sikh or Christian here. We all are like a family. Parminder Goldy is going to organize a youth rally in upcoming days. We are ready to provide whatever assistance is required in organizing the rally.
On this occasion, Parminder Goldy said that he would organize a youth rally in Jalandhar to apprise people of the policies of the party. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab has started several schemes for the welfare of the youth, from which the youth of the state can take advantage and become educated and self-employed. He said that the youth wing of the state will win this seat for Arvind Kejriwal by making party candidate Sushil Rinku victorious in this by-election.
