Chandigarh, June 9
The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today appointed Fatehgarh Sahib Youth leader Sarbjit Singh Jhinjar who belongs to an ordinary agriculturist family as President of the Youth Akali Dal (YAD).
Making the appointment today, SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal said “I’m confident Sarbjit Singh Jhinjar will take forward the rich traditions and culture of the SAD and work assiduously for the welfare of the Panth and Punjab. Jhinjar has already proved himself as an astute organization man who has made significant contributions to the YAD and is known as a grass root worker. I wish him the very best in his present assignment”.
Jhinjar has earlier worked as Zonal President of the Students Organization of India (SOI) and the YAD president of Fatehgarh Sahib district besides serving as Member of the Punjab State Youth Development Board.
