The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class 12 board exam results 2025 on Tuesday. According to an official statement, the overall pass percentage stands at 88.39%, showing a slight improvement over last year.
Among all regions, Vijayawada emerged as the top performer, achieving an impressive 99.60% pass percentage.
To pass the examination, students must secure at least 33% marks in both theory and practical components of each subject. Students falling short by one or two marks may be awarded grace marks to help them pass.
Girls outperformed boys by more than 5 percentage points, according to CBSE Exam Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj.
Over 1.15 lakh students scored above 90%.
More than 24,000 students secured 95% or above.
However, over 1.29 lakh candidates have been placed in the compartment category.
