Haryana Energy Minister, Ranjit Singh took prompt action in response to a complaint lodged by female students of College of Nursing, Safidon, Jind. The complaint highlighted the misconduct of private bus operators who refused to halt the bus and mistreated the girls. During the Public Relations and Redressal Committee meeting held in Jind, the Minister swiftly directed the Superintendent of Police to file an FIR against the responsible driver and operator, and also instructed them to seize the bus without delay.
To enhance the safety of women and curb instances of miscreant activities within the district, the Energy Minister has issued a directive to the Superintendent of Police, Jind. The directive entails the implementation of continuous patrolling in parks, women’s colleges, and other educational institutions. This proactive measure is aimed at fostering a secure environment for women and acting as a deterrent for potential offenders, he added.
The Minister vehemently denounced the Executive Officer (EO) of Jind Municipal Council for their negligence in addressing pending complaints and swiftly took action by ordering the immediate suspension of the EO. Additionally, a vigilance inquiry has been initiated to thoroughly investigate the matter.
Furthermore, in response to a complaint raised by the Sarpanch of Manoharpur village regarding electric poles in the seasonal market, the Energy Minister instructed officials from the electricity department to collaborate with the gram panchayat to resolve the issue.

During the meeting, a total of 16 complaints were brought before the Minister, and he demonstrated remarkable efficiency by resolving 14 of them on the spot.
