Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains issued a grant of 25 lakh rupees to the Government Senior Secondary School of village Kotra as a tribute to Sardar Jeevan Singh Fauji, who fought for the freedom of the country and was a renowned social worker and eminent political leader.
He said that social worker Sardar Jeevan Singh Fauji was my partner and elder brother in the initial struggle who supported me throughout the struggle period. He said that Sardar Jeevan Singh Fauji was not only a political leader but also a brave warrior in the major wars from whom our coming young generation would get guidance.
The Education Minister said that to keep the memories of Sardar Jeevan Singh Foji alive, a grant of Rs 25 lakh has been released by the school department for the purpose of making the Government Senior Secondary School of village Kotra excellent and excellent.
S. Harjot Singh Bains further said that he has issued a grant of 5 lakh rupees from his personal funds to the panchayat of village Kotra (Mansa). He said that we can never forget the countless memories and the time spent together with them in Nawan Punjab March 2016 and the sacrifices made by them.
It may be mentioned that Jeevan Singh Fauji lost the battle of life due to cancer in the year 2020.
