In a rare distinction, Deputy Superintendent of Police Investigation Sarabjit Rai has been awarded the Director General of Police’s honor and Disc for performing his duty with utmost zeal, dedication, and devotion. Pertinently it is for the third time that the officer has got this disc for his valuable service to society.
Inspector General of Police (Jalandhar Range) GS Sandhu pinned the disc on Rai here on Tuesday. Congratulating Rai for the award, the Inspector General of Police hoped that he will continue to perform his duty well in future too.
Rai has been selected for the award for displaying a consistently excellent level of performance in their duties. A decorated Police officer Rai has been selected for this award for his outstanding performance as DSP Investigation Hoshiarpur.
He has been instrumental in busting various terror modules in the past few years and wiping out gangster culture from the state. He has also played a very vital role in the campaign against drugs initiated by the Punjab Government.
Rai also did commendable service to society during the Covid pandemic. He has remained posted in different districts under various capacities as a police officer.
Expressing gratitude to DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav over his selection for this coveted award, DSP Sarabjit Rai said that he was overwhelmed at being chosen for the rare honor.
He further added that this award has filled him with a renewed zeal to serve society. Rai also thanked the Inspector General of Police for giving him valuable guidance in performing his duty efficiently.
