Departments/Boards/Corporations in Chandigarh to adopt e-office module by end of this month

Dharampal, Adviser to Administrator-cum-Chief Vigilance Officer, Chandigarh, issued instruction on November 15 that all Departments/Boards/Corporations/ Undertaking of the Chandigarh Administration to immediately switch over to movement of all the physical files (Intra Department and Inter Departments) through e-office module of NIC and the manual file movement registers should be discontinued. This should be implemented prior to 01.12.2022 to bring transparency and fairness and speedy disposal in the processes.

Setting an example, office of the Adviser to Administrator has completely switched over to E-Office module for movement of physical files from Monday 21.11.2022 itself. All those files which were not sent through the E-Office module were returned to the concerned Secretaries and were accepted through E-Office Module only. Though the timeline to completely switch over to E-Office Module of file movement has been fixed as 30.11.2022 but many Departments have already switched over completely.

Two training sessions of the staff for the E-Office file movement module have been conducted and the next training session has been scheduled for 25.11.2022 by the NIC.

Today further directions have been issued by Dharampal that all the pending files with the senior officers to be cleared by 30.11.2022 positively and if required, the offices may be kept open during Saturday/Sunday for this purpose. After 01.12.2022, there should not be any pending file in the Office Chambers/Personal Branches/Camp Offices which has not been entered in the E-office Module.
