DC, SSP, ADC (General) and Rural Development set an example for others by reaching office in time

Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa, SSP Bhagirth Singh Meena, ADC (G) Rajiv Verma and ADC (Rural Development) Davinder Kumar Sharma set an example for others by arriving before office hours at their offices located at District Administrative Complex, Nawanshahr, on day one of the new office timings from 7:30 am to 2:00 pm.

The Deputy Commissioner said that more than 90 percent of the staff was present on time in the district administrative complex today, while the rest were checked upon by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Rajiv Verma. During the checking, 23 employees were found as late comers. He said that among these employees included five employees of District Program Officer, one employee of PLRS Society, 12 employees of Food Supply Office, two employees of Election Tehsildar Office, two employees of Employment Office and one employee of Skill Development Office.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner (G), Rajiv Verma said that he had submitted his checking report to the Deputy Commissioner, after which an explanation of these employees had been sought. He said that further action will be taken after the reply received from the employees.

Deputy Commissioner Randhawa instructed all the government officials and employees of the district to strictly follow the new office hours fixed by the Punjab government and said that the checking of punctuality of new office timings would continue in the following days. He said that this decision of the government has been taken to keep the common people away from facing any kind of difficulty, so it is our responsibility to fulfill our duty towards the people diligently.

SSP Bhagirth Singh Meena, who also arrived at the office before the office hours, said that according to the new orders of the Punjab government, all officers of GO rank and all the employees posted at the district police office, had reached on time. He said that in view of the maintenance of law and order, the duty of the police is always going on 24X7 days and even now the new orders would be adhered to for office duty.
