Fazilka Deputy Commissioner Dr. Senu Duggal, who is always dedicated to public interest, on Monday late night visited the mandis, where she was seen encouraging the procurement agencies, and workers, to expedite the lifting of procured wheat stocks.
When the Deputy Commissioner reached the mandis at night and cheered the labourers who were lifting the wheat, there was a lot of enthusiasm among the labour brothers and they said that they would work even faster now.
DC said that if lifting continues, space will be available for more wheat in the markets and farmers will not face any problems in bringing in new crops.
She also made it clear to the procurement agencies, traders, transporters and labour on this occasion that the wheat procurement season is an important time for us and at this time we all should work as a team to fulfil all the targets quickly.
On this occasion, ADC(G) Rakesh Kumar Popli, SDM Jalalabad Balkaran Singh, DFSC Himanshu Kukkar and officials of various procurement agencies were also present.
