Day 6 of Employeea Cricket League 2024: Match played between AG, Chandigarh and Punjab Secretariat Cricket Club

On day 6 of  Employees’ Cricket League, 2024, Season-1 organized by Punjab Secretariat Cricket Club, Chandigarh in association with Pritika Group of Industries and Mohali Auto Industries, League Match No. 18 was played between AG, Chandigarh and Punjab Secretariat Cricket Club at Cricvilla Cricket Ground, Mohali. AG, Chandigarh team won the toss and elected to bowl first and Punjab Secretariat Cricket Club team could only score 111 runs in 20 overs. AG, Chandigarh team completed this total easily in 15 overs.  AG innings included Akash’s unbeaten 43 runs. Satvinder Ladhar was given the man of the match award for taking 03 wickets.

League Match No. 19 was played between Haryana Civil Secretariat vs Commissioner XI at Launching Pad Cricket Ground, Mohali. With the help of Piyush Sharma’s innings of 47 runs in 25 balls, the team could reach a respectable score of 159 runs in 20 overs. In reply, the Haryana Civil Secretariat team got off to a very poor start resulting all out for just 86 runs. Commissioner XI’s Sherry Saini was given man of the match award for scoring 28 runs and taking 02 wickets.

In League match number 20, High Court Chandigarh and GMCH-32 Chandigarh were met . High Court team was asked to bat first and they set a target of 179 runs for GMCH. Abhilash Sharma contributed 58 runs in this score. In reply, GMCH was very much in the game till the last over .  Despite Captain Krishan’s brave innings of 69 runs, GMCH could not achieve the target and got short of 5 runs. Abhilash Sharma of the High Court team was given the man of the match award for his brilliant innings.

As of now, 6 teams have already qualified for the quarterfinal.

Co-sponsors of the tournament, The Doctors Consultancy, HeallthMaxx Super Specialty Hospital Mohali and Radisun Biotech, Bathinda had honored the players for showing good performance. Janak Singh, Patron, PSCC and Sushil Kumar Fauji, President, Punjab Secretariat Staff Association were present on this occasion.
