To create awareness and sensitize people about ill effects of drugs, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday released posters of song ‘Putt Panj Dareyawan De’ prepared in collaboration with the District Administration Moga.
Releasing the posters here on the sidelines of a state-level function here on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, the Chief Minister said that the Punjab government has been taking various steps to root out the menace of drugs from the state, which was also specifically mentioned in the song.
The Chief Minister said the song has highlighted the inimical effects of drugs and initiatives being taken by the government to tackle drug smugglers and smuggling.
Appreciating the message given in the song, Bhagwant Singh Mann said that literature and art play a stupendous role in eradicating social evils.
He said that this initiative of the district administration under the leadership of Moga Deputy Commissioner Kulwant Singh would definitely motivate the youth to adopt a positive approach and stay away from clutches of drugs.
The song has been sung by Moga District Public Relations Officer Prabhdeep Singh Nathowal. It has been composed by eminent literary personality Professor Gurbhajan Singh Gill.
