CM chairs State Level DISHA Committee meeting

Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal has directed the officers concerned to ensure the transport facility for school students travelling a distance of more than one kilometre. For proper monitoring of the safe and secure travelling of these students, one of the teachers of these schools should be made the nodal officer.

He further said that a possibility should also be explored to develop a strategy to pay travel expenses to these students, said Manohar Lal while presiding over the meeting of the State Level DISHA Committee through video conferencing with Administrative Secretaries, and Deputy Commissioners held here today.

Development and Panchayat Minister, Devender Babli co-chaired the meeting. MP, Ramesh Chander Kaushik, Rajya Sabha MP, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) D.P. Vats, MLAs, Dr. Abhe Singh Yadav, Smt. Nirmal Rani and Mamman Khan also remained present in the meeting. Various schemes of the Central and State Governments were reviewed in detail during the meeting.

The safety of every child is the topmost priority of the state government

The Chief Minister said that ensuring the safety of every child is the topmost priority of the state government. For this, a comprehensive framework has been made. Under this, the age group-wise data of Parivar Pehchan Patra has been shared with different departments and as per this data, the responsibility of children up to 6 years has been entrusted to the Women and Child Development Department.

The tracking of every child who is neither coming to Anganwadi nor in any play-way school is being done, so that the actual status of the children can be ascertained, directed Manohar Lal.

Reviewing the child immunization programme, the Chief Minister said that the responsibility of immunization has also been given to the Women and Child Development Department. The department should meet the target of immunization in collaboration with Anganwadi workers and ANMs.

Track every child to reduce school dropout rate

The Chief Minister said that the government is working tirelessly to lessen school dropouts. For this, the School Education Department has been given the responsibility of tracking a child in the age group of 6 to 18 years. Every child is being tracked by the department and such children, who are not getting education in government or private schools, nor in Gurukul or Madrasa, will be tracked and brought to schools, so that no child is deprived of education, said Manohar Lal.

The plan is being formulated to ensure a roof over every head

The Chief Minister said that the State Government is committed to providing a roof over the head of every needy person. Reviewing the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) and (Urban), he directed that apart from these schemes, if a separate plan has to be made at the state government level, it should be formulated so that no needy person remains without a house. For this, the possibilities of providing houses by holding talks with banks or by giving some share from the state government should be explored, directed Manohar Lal.

The Chief Minister was apprised that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), the second and third installments have also been released to the beneficiaries who had received the first installment.

Make farmers aware of usage of soil health card
While reviewing the Soil Health Card programme, the Chief Minister said that the Agriculture Department should conduct a special awareness campaign to make the farmers aware of the benefits of the Soil Health Card and how it is helpful in crop production, so that maximum utilization of Soil Health Card can be ensured.

While reviewing the Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana, the Chief Minister directed that the state government is making continuous efforts to promote natural farming. That’s why farmers should shift from traditional farming and adopt natural farming, for this, they should be made aware as well as trained.
