Sarabjit Kaur, Mayor of, Chandigarh on Thursday inaugurated the newly constructed Tube Well and Booster at Ramleela Ground, Phase-3, Bapudham Colony Chandigarh in the presence of Dalip Sharma, Senior Deputy Mayor & area councilor, other officers of MCC and prominent persons of local area.
The tubewell and booster having capacity of 1 lakh gallon has been provided from the Mayor development funds, Senior Deputy Development funds and Ward Development funds amounting to Rs. 73.10 lacs. The project was started in the month of March 2022 and completed in December 2022.
The Mayor said that there are about 500 to 600 Houses comprising a population of more than 5000 in Phase 3 of Bapudham colony regularly complaining about the low pressure water supply in their area for a long time. The long pending demand of residents in BapuDham Colony has been fulfilled today with the functioning of the Tube well and Booster as they will get water at adequate pressure up to 3rd Floor, added the Mayor.
