Chandigarh, March 29
Directorate of AYUSH Chandigarh Administration has organized 10 days camp on Panchkarma – Shirodhara at AHWC 37 Chandigarh from March 28 to 6th April from 9 am to 5 pm.
The camp was inaugurated by Akhil Kumar, DANICS Special Secretary Health cum Director, AYUSH. The camp is for the general public and the registration is first to come first basis.
Panchkarma center was inaugurated by Secretary Health Yash Paul Garg IAS at AHWC 37 Chandigarh on 23- 10 -22 and procedures like Shirodhara, Abhyanga, Potli message, Kati Vasti Janu Vasti, Greva Vati are performed there.
Akhil Kumar Special Secretary Health cum Director AYUSH emphasized the importance of the Ayurvedic and Homeopathic system of medicine and the specialized treatment of Panchkarma and Shirodhara.
During the occasion, free medicinal plants were distributed to the patients. The procedures are done free of cost however the cost of oil and other items used in the procedure is being charged by the patients and slots are booked in advance.
For Shirodhara Rs 700, for Abhyanga Rs 200/ and for Potali massage and Vasti Rs 300 is charged the amount is deposited in the office and a government slip is issued to the patient, Dr. Rajiv Kapila Senior, Ayurvedic physician in charge of AHWC 37 Chandigarh told that ten to fifteen procedures are performed every day and there is a long list of patients for the procedures and the patients are benefited from Chandigarh and the nearby areas.

On this occasion, JD Ayurveda Dr. N S Bhardwaj, AD Homeo Dr. Manju Shree, Dr. Aarti Verma, and Dr. Anantjot Kaur were also present.
