Chandigarh Business School of Administration (CBSA), CGC Landran has opened a Center of Excellence for Cyber Security in association with SecureHack Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
The facility was inaugurated by Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, of CGC Landran in the presence of Directors, Deans, and Faculty members of CGC Landran.
The center has been set up to accomplish multiple objectives which include creating awareness regarding cyber safety & the issues and challenges associated with it and providing students a platform for engaging in research and innovation-based projects.
In addition to this, the facility would act as a catalyst in bridging the industry-academia gap through workshops and hands-on training sessions for the students in various aspects of the cyber security domain in line with the latest technological innovations and requirements of the industry.
The center will help them understand more about cyber security management, compliance, and governance. The Center of Excellence would enable students to learn more about network security, secure coding, cryptography, and reverse engineering.
They would get an opportunity to master the basic tools in this domain through hands-on training sessions, workshops, and competitions.
It will also help acquaint them with cyber laws created to prevent cyber crimes as well as an understating of the nature of cyber crimes, legal remedies available as well as best practices for safeguarding one’s identity while using social media platforms.
Promoting a cyber-safe and conducive environment for industry collaboration, address the skill gaps, build awareness and facilitate innovation in this emerging technology field of Cyber Security.
