Cabinet minister urges students to be ambassadors of Punjabi Language, Art, & Culture

Punjab Tourism and Cultural Affairs  Minister Anmol Gagan Mann today called upon students to become ambassadors of the Punjabi Language, Art, and Culture to promote the rich cultural legacy of Punjab in the country.

Addressing the students and academicians here at APEEJAY School during ‘INTEC Quiz Competition’, the Minister said that Punjab Government would soon start quiz competitions across the state wherein questions about the state’s culture, language, art to be asked from the participants and winners would get a cash reward.

The Minister further stated that we should be proud of our language, culture, and heritage as our roots are deeply connected with it, hence we should never forget our cultural identity. our mother tongue Punjabi was the richest and sweetest language across the globe, she said adding that to preserve and spread this language across the globe strenuous efforts need to be made by one and all.

She urged academicians and intellectuals should play a proactive role in preserving the glorious culture, heritage, and mother tongue of our state by inculcating behavior changes among youngsters.

We should learn other languages from a career standpoint while having love and affection for our mother tongue at the same time, she said. Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Jaspreet Singh, Major General (Retd) Balwinder Singh, and Principal ApeeJay School Girish Kumar welcomed the cabinet minister.

Principal Girish Kumar said that students from eight districts have participated in this qualifying competition, subsequently Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg Jalandhar has qualified for the national-level competition.
