Punjab Defence Welfare, Freedom Fighters and Horticulture Minister Mohinder Bhagat today distributed pension allotment letters to over 100 beneficiaries under the Punjab Government’s social security scheme. These beneficiaries will soon begin receiving monthly financial assistance as part of the initiative.
Addressing the gathering, Bhagat emphasized the Punjab Government’s commitment to uplifting all sections of society under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. He reassured that the applications for pension benefits from all 100 recipients have been approved, with more pending applications set for approval soon. He also stated that more pension allotment letters to be distributed in coming days and all the beneficiaries will get monthly pension under Old Age, Widow, Divayang, and other categories.
The Cabinet Minister also highlighted the success of the “Sarkar Tuhade Dwar” initiative, which aims to deliver government services directly to the people. “We are holding massive camps across the district, and thousands of residents have already benefited from these efforts,” he stated, adding that the Punjab Government is focused on ensuring that pro-people schemes reach the grassroots level.
Bhagat affirmed that the government will continue to prioritize extending the benefits of social security programs, ensuring financial support for those in need. The initiative reflects the government’s resolve to make welfare programs accessible and inclusive for all, he added.
