On Thursday, on specific information of BSF, a Joint search operation was launched by BSF and CI Jalalabad (Punjab Police) at some houses of Village Chakkhewa, Distt -Fazilka.
During search, two suspects were taken in custody and on the basis of the revelation made by one of them, during interrogation, three packets of suspected Heroin (Gross weight- 2.5 Kgs) were recovered from the house of the individual.
The consignment was probably dropped by drone few days back and further concealed inside the house. The case is being registered and further investigation follows. Yet another coordinated action of BSF and Police against drugs led to the recovery of contraband.
