In connection with booth level election meetings, Congress party candidate from Amritsar Lok Sabha constituency Gurjeet Singh Aujla today held meetings in Jhita Chet Singh and Varpal villages of Attari constituency. The meeting held at Varpal village took the form of a rally which was attended by a large number of local people and Congress workers. In this meeting, farmers announced their support to Gurjeet Singh Aujla. While attacking BJP, Aujla said that they are dreaming of victory with the help of ED which can never be fulfilled.
Will be the voice of Guru Nagri in Lok Sabha for the third time also
Addressing the meeting organized under the leadership of Avtar Singh Gill and Surinder Singh Randhawa, Aujla said that the people of Guru Nagri have shown trust in him twice and now for the third time also he will become the voice of the people of Guru Nagri in the Lok Sabha. He said that this time the ground has slipped from under the feet of the Bharatiya Janata Party, for which they are taking the help of ED and are dreaming of victory by adopting various dirty tactics which is never going to be fulfilled. He said that voting for BJP this time would be a big mistake for the people. Aujla said that he raised his voice in favor of the farmers by sitting on the road in Delhi and will continue to do so in future too. It is very important for Congress to come to power to give the farmers their rights.
On this occasion, a large number of farmers under the leadership of farmer leader Gurdev Singh assured to support Gurjeet Aujla. On this occasion, Panchayat Union Majha President Sukhraj Singh Randhawa, Avtar Singh Gill, former chairman Surinder Singh Randhawa, Sarpanch Kashmir Singh Varpal, Chairman Nirvel Singh Randhawa, Santokh Singh Bishambarpura, Sarpanch Sukhwant Singh Chetanpura, Kirtan Bir Singh, former Sarpanch Balkar Singh were present.
