Awareness workshop on apprenticeship training organised

Under Govt. Of India, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship,Directorate General of Training, an Apprenticeship Awareness Workshop on Apprenticeship Training organised by Regional Directorate of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Punjab, Gill Road, Ludhiana (Punjab)  on 15.3.2023 at Wyndham Hotel & Resort in Mohali (District SAS Nagar) of Punjab, in which Representative of various Industries, NSDC, MSME, Govt. and non-Govt. Departments/Offices participated and made aware about various provisions and benefits of National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS). Shri D.P.S.Kharbanda, IAS, Director of Technical Education & Industrial Training Punjab joined this workshop as Chief Guest.

Swati Sethi, Regional Director of Regional Directorate of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Punjab,  & Haryana honoured the Chief Guest with Memento she also presented souvenir to Sh. D.P.S.Kharbanda and thanked the all  for joining the workshop.

Swati Sethi, Regional Director said that this Directorate is trying to promote Skill and Industrialists have important role to make the successful “Skill India Abhiyan”. She said that Industrialist may take the benefits of this scheme and make the youth future bright by providing them  practical training. She invited the Industrialists to fulfil the demands of International market as well as Indian market, Apprenticeship scheme will be very helpful to achieve the target.

All the speakers told about the importance of the Apprenticeship scheme in their addresses. During the Apprenticeship workshop Dr. Pramendra Tilanthe, Deputy Director and Shivi Joshi, Training Officer, RDSDE, Punjab has highlighted various aspects of Apprenticeship scheme through power point presentation. At the end of this workshop  Shri. Subhash Chandra, Joint Director/Head of Office, RDSDE, Punjab has also high lighted the importance of this scheme and expressed satisfaction with the efforts being made by Industry and RDSDE, Punjab. He also expressed heartfelt thanks to all the representatives  of the Industries, Govt. departments and non-govt. Organisations and he encouraged all Industrial units, govt. and Non-Govt organisations for the registration of trainees on the National Apprenticeship portal of Govt. of India
