Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Government is committed to provide benefit of various schemes in timely and transparent manner.
Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that anganwadi workers get honorarium under the ‘Community-Based Event Scheme’ through District Program Officers and Child Development and Project Officers that take more time. An important decision has been made by the Punjab Government that now allowance will be sent more quickly in the bank accounts of anganwadi workers.
She said that this was also the main demand of Anganwadi unions.
Dr. Baljit Kaur said that under ‘Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana’ financial assistance of Rs 5000 is given to pregnant women and lactating mothers by the Government. This assistance is given in three installments. It has been decided by the Punjab Government that the amount received under this scheme will also be directly transferred to the accounts of the beneficiaries in a swifty manner.
With this decision, amount will be delivered to the beneficiaries in a transparent and speedy manner.
