Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann made an important announcement here on Saturday regarding Punjabi mother tongue.
Mann said that all signboards in the state would have Punjabi on top. He also said that preference should be given to Punjabi language by all institutions.
“Punjabi should be written on top of all sign boards till February 21, on the occasion of International Language Day. The rest of the languages will be written after that. After February 21, the administration will impose strictness in this regard,” said the CM.
