As many as 60 teachers including Dy. DEO Pargat Singh Brar was felicitated at the Teacher Felicitation Ceremony held at Dev Samaj College for Women, who initiated new steps in the field of education in government and private schools.
Speaking on the occasion, Pargat Singh Brar, Dy.DEO who was the Chief Guest of the event said, it is not possible to get basic knowledge of education without studying in college. He said that education is becoming very expensive day by day. If there were no government or aided colleges, most of the students would be deprived of education. He said that if a student is diligent and gets the right guidance, he can make his way anywhere.
College teachers Dr. Ramnik Kaur and Kanika Sachdeva shared information about the National Education Policy (NEP) and shed light on the history, courses and achievements of the college.
Dr. Sangeeta, Principal, DSCW said that the purpose of this event is to provide a common platform to the expert teachers in the field of education where they can sit together, discuss some points for the bright future of the students and can find solutions to overcome the shortcomings in the education policy. Some joint programs should be designed to empower the students physically and mentally, she added.
