Chandigarh, November 22
Forty-one percent of the voters have cast their votes till 1.30 pm during polling in four districts of Haryana in the third and final phase of the panchayat polls on Tuesday, officials said.
The polling to elect members of the Zila Parishad and panchayat samitis began at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm in Faridabad, Palwal, Hisar and Fatehabad.
Officials said the polling was going on in a peaceful manner.
The elections are being held to elect 559 panchayat samiti members and 78 zila parishad members in 25 blocks of the four districts.
Over 22 lakh voters, including over 10 lakh women, are eligible to cast their vote.
