225 construction workers registered under the building and other construction welfare board to get benefit: Anmol Gagan Mann

The Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is constantly striving to raise the standard of living of the working class and provide good governance to the people of the state. In order to fulfill this objective, under the direction of the Minister of Labour, Tourism and Cultural affairs, Investment Promotion and Grievance Redressal, Anmol Gagan Mann, a meeting of the Sub-Division Committee of the Building and Other Construction Welfare Board under the chairmanship of SDM Kharar Ravinder Singh was called. During this meeting, financial benefits were decided to 225 beneficiary construction workers under various labor welfare schemes. The amount of financial benefit will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiary workers through the DBT scheme.

Giving more information in this regard, Cabinet Minister Anmol Gagan Mann said that the meeting of sub-division committee of Punjab Building and Other Construction Welfare Board under the chairmanship of SDM Kharar Ravinder Singh to give financial benefits under various schemes to the beneficiary construction workers, was called. She explained that during this meeting, it has been decided to give a financial benefit of Rs. 48,69,000/- to 225 registered beneficiary construction workers. She added that this amount will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiary workers through the DBT scheme. She instructed the officials of the labor department that this amount should be sent to the accounts of the beneficiary workers as soon as possible without any undue delay.

 Apart from this, SDM, Kharar Ravinder Singh while presiding over the meeting of Sub-Division Committee of Punjab Building and Other Construction Welfare Board said that various welfare schemes being run by Punjab Building and Other Construction Welfare Board, during the meeting it has been decided to give financial benefits to 225 beneficiary workers under Wajifa Scheme, Shagun Scheme, Exgratia Scheme, Balardi Tohfa Scheme, LTC Scheme, Pension etc.

During this meeting, Assistant Labor Commissioner Harpreet Singh, Labor Inspector Kharar Ram Singh Rana, Bhagwant Singh from Office Municipal Council Kharar, and officials of BDPO office were present.
