15 more Aam Aadmi clinics will be operational in Kapurthala

With an aim to provide the best medical facilities to the people of Punjab free of cost, the Punjab government has decided to launch 15 more Aam Aadmi clinics in the Kapurthala district.

Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal on Thursday reviewed the progress of the clinics during the meeting of the district health society.

He said that thousands of people have availed the treatment through these clinics started on August 15 at Sujokalia and Bhandal Bet villages in the district and with the opening of 15 more Clinics, it will be a boon for the entire district.

15 new clinics will soon start providing health services at Dhilwan, Maksudpur, Paramjitpur, Kabirpur, Dadwindi, Bhanolanga, Khalu, Surakhpur, Atholi, Palahi, Sopore, Ranipur, Hadiabad, Raika Mohalla Kapurthala and Guru Nanak Pura Phagwara.

Sarangal has also asked the members of the health society, the officials of the health department, PWD and Public health department to complete the work of the clinics on war footing so that the benefit of the health facilities can be reached to maximum number of people.

These clinics will provide services like OPD, immunisation, family planning services, free lab tests, free medicines etc.

Nearly 41 types of medical tests will be completely free in the clinics.

On this occasion, SDM Lal Biswas Bains, District Public Relations Officer Subeg Singh, Civil Surgeon Dr. Gurinderbir Kaur, XEN Pawan Kumar, SDO Public health Dharminder Singh and all SMOs were also present.
