Tehsil level International Yoga Day celebrated at Pandit Mohan Lal SD College (Girls)

Fatehgarh Churian/Batala, June 21: The 11th International Tehsil Level Yoga Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at the local Pandit Mohan Lal SD College (Girls) Dera Road Fatehgarh Churian under the banner of Chief Minister’s Yogashala under the leadership of SDM Kuldeep Chand (PCS). On this occasion, Balbir Singh Pannu Halqa Incharge ‘AAP’ Fatehgarh Churian attended as the chief guest, while Parminder Singh Tehsildar, College Management Member Gorakh Nath, Vinesh Shukla, College Principal Prof. Pradeep Kaur, Yoga Trainer Pankaj and local administrative officers were specially present in this camp.
On this occasion, Dr. Manpreet Kaur Ayurvedic and Unani Medical Officer’s yoga team performed various yoga postures, in which local people, students and teachers of schools, colleges enthusiastically learned the principles of yoga. The college welcomed the chief guest, Halqa Incharge Balbir Singh Pannu, and presented him with a memento.
Similarly, Ayurvedic and Unani Officer Dr. Manpreet Kaur honored the college principal Prof. Pradeep Kaur by presenting a memento.
Speaking on the occasion, Balbir Singh Pannu said that this yoga camp organized by the Punjab government is a commendable work and yoga is a boon for health in today’s hectic life. He said that we all should definitely connect with yoga in our daily lives. He appreciated this joint program organized by the SDM, Tehsildar, college management, staff, school teachers, school students and city residents on this day and thanked all the local residents who came to the college premises for their cooperation.
Speaking on the occasion, SDM Kuldeep Chand gave information about the benefits of yoga and said that doing yoga keeps our body fresh. He further said that International Yoga Day has been celebrated in the district under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Gurdaspur Mr. Dalwinderjit Singh.
On this occasion, Ayurvedic and Ayurvedic Department District Gurdaspur organized a medical camp in the college, from which everyone benefited greatly.
Yoga trainers Pankaj, Simranjit Singh, Harpreet Kaur, Baljit Kaur and Pawandeep Kaur were present on the occasion.
