Union State Minister Som Parkash to visit Bholath on July 15 to redress complaint of  Khaira

Union State Minister Som Parkash today took serious note of the complaint lodged by Bholath congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira that AAP defeated MLA was laying of illegal foundation stones regarding repair of roads under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sarak Yojna in alleged connivance with district authorities ignoring him .

Khaira came here to attend the review meeting of centre government welfare schemes chaired by Union State minister Som Parkash and attended by Member Parliament Jasbir Singh Dimpa and AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal besides district officers .

The Minister said he would personally visit the spots at bholath on July 15 redress the complaint of Khaira and would take suitable action on it .

Khaira when asked Seechewal that foundation stones also bears his name and asked seechewal whether any consent was taken to inscribe his name and Seechewal replied that he was not aware of it . Expressing serious concern Renowned Environmentalist Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal said that there is alarming situation of depleting ground water in district and asked the Distrct authorities to develop ponds in the villages under the Amrit Sarovar Yojna and harvesting of rain water to save the over exploitation of ground water .

At this Deputy Commissioner Capt Karnail Singh told the meeting that 75 ponds are being developed in the villages in the Distrct and out of which 21 have started working to utilise the clean water for irrigating the fields to save over exploitation of ground

 

Prominent amongst others present on the occasion included MLA Bholath Sukhpal Singh Khaira, ADC General Amarpreet Kaur, ADC Phagwara Dr Nayan Jassal, ADC (D) Paramjit Kaur, SP Ramninder Singh Deol, SDMs Chandrajyoti, Sanjeev Sharma, Lal Vishwash Bains, heads of all departments, and non official members of DISHA.
