Punjab General Secretary of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Harchand Singh Barsat paid homage to the supreme sacrifices of Tenth Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Mata Gujri Ji and four Sahibzades on the occasion of Shaheedi Week.

In a statement issued from the party office on Monday, the AAP leader said that tenth Sikh Guru and his entire family sacrificed their lives for the protection of humanity and religion, which set an example for the whole world. By raising his voice against oppression and giving religious freedom more importance than his life, Guru ji gave a message to humanity to fight and injustice and suppression.

Harchand Singh Barsat said that today it is need of hour that we make our children aware of the history of 10th Guru and four Sahibzades who gave supreme martyrdom at a young age. He said that the father of the Khalsa panth sacrificed the whole family for humanity and today we should pay our respects to him and also take a pledge to always raise our voice for the honor of every religion and the freedom of the people.
