With an aim to provide the compensation to flood victims in Kapurthala district at the earliest, Deputy commissioner Captain Karnail Singh today asked the officials to speed up the Special Girdawari and rehabilitation process .
Today in a meeting with ADCs , SDMs and officials of other departments, Deputy Commissioner asked them to adopt liberal approach to facilitate the people with compensation in this hour of crisis.
He said that as per the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, no flood affected person to left behind in providing the compensation against any loss to houses, tube wells, crops etc.
Deputy commissioner also asked the ADCs, SDMs to personally visit the flood affected areas to ensure that the rehabilitation and Girdawari process should be completed in a minimum possible time.
He also asked the water supply and PSPCL to ensure the regular supply of the drinking water and electricity in the flood hit areas so that rehabilitation could be ensured as early as possible.
Seeking immediate assessment report about the loss to public property like water supply, roads, power supply, tube wells, drainage system, Panchayati Raj, educational institutions, Panchayat department, dispensaries etc so that their renovation could be ensured.
