Two armed assailants with covered faces fired 15-16 shots at popular mobile showroom located at Kapurthala bus stand road here this morning during busy hours.
S.P (Investigation) Sarabjit Singh Rai who along with police team reached the spot and began investigation confirmed the incident. Police said assailants fired at glass windows of the showroom which were badly damaged in the firing.
The assailants came on a motorcycle and after firing handed over a note into the hands of the showroom employee in which Haryana gangster Sourav Gandola name was written and demanded a ransom of rs 5 crore.
Police recovered 15 empty shells from show room and begun investigation.
Police has registered a case against unknown persons.
