On the 86th death anniversary of Shaheed Udham Singh, former Chairman of the Punjab Large Industrial Development Board and former District Congress President, Mr. Pawan Dewan paid a heartfelt tribute to the great martyr.
Dewan said that Shaheed Udham Singh was one of the brave sons of Bharat Mata who avenged the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and brought pride to the nation. His sacrifice is not only a milestone in the freedom struggle but also a lasting inspiration for future generations.
He further said that by traveling to London and eliminating Michael O’Dwyer, the man responsible for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, Udham Singh proved that the atrocities committed on Indian soil would not go unpunished.
Pawan Dewan appealed to the youth of Punjab and the nation to follow the path shown by the martyrs, actively contribute to nation-building, and commit themselves to realizing the India of their dreams.
