Ashwajit Senjam, Aniruddh Sangra, Vanya Arora and Rubani Kaur in singles semis

Top seed Ashwajit Senjam and Aniruddh Sangra advanced into the boys under-18 singles semi-finals of the CLTA-AITA Championship Series (CS-7) Tennis Tournament for Boys and Girls under-14 and 18 at the Sector 10 Tennis Stadium here today.

. Ashwajit defeated sixth seed Akshat Dhull 6-3, 6-1 in straight sets. Both players played good quality tennis in 1st set. After 3-3 Ashwajit used his experience and took next 3 games in a row to close the 1st set 6-3. In the 2nd set Ashwajit maintained his rhythm and played high energetic game. Ashwajit won the 2nd set and match easily 6-1.

In another quarterfinal third seed Aniruddh Sangra defeated Praneel Sharma in a 3 setter deciding match 6-7(5), 6-3, 6-4. After 1st set down Aniruddh raised his level of game and maintained his consistently of ground stroke. Finally Aniruddh won the match 6-3, 6-4 in next two sets. Arntya Ohlyan and Aarav Chawla also advanced into sSemifinals.

Top seed Gaurish Madaan and second seed Ribhav Saroha entered Semifinals in the Boys under-14 singles sSemifinals. Gaurish defeated Prabhroop Kalsi 6-2, 6-2 in straight sets. Aaryaveer Sharma and Yashwin Dahiya also advanced into Semifinals.

In the girls under-18 singles Quarterfinals top seed Rubani Kaur Sidhu defeated Ditti Prajapat 6-1, 6-1 in straight sets. In the another Semifinals Vanya Arora won from Mannat Awasthi 6-0, 3-6, 6-2 in a 3 setter match. Vanshika Yadav and Aaradhya Tandon moved into semifinals in the Girls under-14 singles.
