Sonia Gandhi has been again elected Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson

The leaders of the Congress parliamentary party announced on Saturday that Sonia Gandhi, the former president of the party, had been unanimously re-elected as the Congress party’s parliamentary chairperson.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge suggested Sonia Gandhi be named the parliamentary party’s chairperson during a meeting of party MPs.

Tariq Anwar, K Sudhakaran, and Gaurav Gogoi seconded the proposal.

In February, 77-year-old Sonia Gandhi was elected to the Rajya Sabha.

Rahul Gandhi told the party’s top brass that he will make a decision “very soon” after the Congress Working Committee (CWC) unanimously recommended him to assume the role of Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha.

Rahul Gandhi won from both Rae Bareilly.
