MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla, furious at the treatment of Indians deported from America like criminals, reached Parliament today wearing shackles. He said that his people were treated like criminals and the government is sitting silent. He said that he will not tolerate this and they will have to answer.
MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla said that illegal immigrants were sent in an Air Force plane wearing handcuffs and chains on their feet. They were treated like criminals even though they are not criminals. He said that the government knew beforehand that America was deporting Indians, then why did they not arrange for a special flight. Why did those Indians have to return like such criminals.
He said that this is a very shameful incident and an attack on the dignity of the country. Why did the government allow this insult of its own citizens?
He said that this is about India’s dignity, sovereignty and the respect of every Indian living abroad. He said that the government is busy with elections due to which the plane was not allowed to land in Delhi because then they would have to answer. There were people from every state in that plane but to avoid having to answer, it was landed in Amritsar and they were sent from outside. MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla said that he will not tolerate this shameful behaviour with his people! The government must answer for this. betrayal.
