In a chilling incident, a 73-year-old woman was rescued by the Punjab police from her own home after her daughter filed a complaint to the police that the victim’s son and his wife were torturing her. The victim has been identified as Asha Rani.
As per the CCTV camera that has now gone viral on social media, accused Ankur Verma, a Ropar lawyer is seen mercilessly beating his mother in the presence of his wife and his son.
Video footage of the incident was provided to the police by Asha Rani’s daughter Deepshikha.
