Shrimati Sudarshan Marwaha, wife of Late Shri Sarbdaman Singh Marwaha and mother-in-law of retired Additional Labour Commissioner of Punjab Government and former advisor to the Haryana Government, Ramesh Behl, passed away on June 4 at the age of 93.

The Antim Ardas (final prayer ceremony) for the peace of her soul will be held on June 8 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Gurudwara Nauvin Patshahi Dukh Nivaran Sahib, Gurudwara Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar, Jalandhar.

Prominent industrialist Mohnish Behl, based in Oman and Dubai, is one of Mrs. Marwaha’s three grandsons.

Born on January 6, 1932, Mrs. Marwaha moved to Amritsar after the partition. Her father, Sikka Pritam Singh Sodhi, was a Superintendent in the Customs Department. She got married in 1949 to Sardar Sarbadaman Singh, who passed away in 1979. Her only son, Charankamal Singh, tragically died in a road accident at the age of just 21.

Despite enduring immense personal loss, she faced life with great courage and instilled strong values in her children. A deeply spiritual and charitable woman, she was always ready to help those in need.

She is survived by her three daughters: Dolly Bedi, Manbir Bhalla, and Renu Behl. Her eldest daughter has been residing in England since 1965, and her other daughter, Renu Behl, is married to Ramesh Behl.

Following the death of her son in 1982, Mrs. Marwaha had been living with her daughter Renu and son-in-law Ramesh Behl. She was widely respected in society for her religious nature and commitment to service.
