Haryana’s Public Works and Public Health Minister Ranbir Gangwa has directed Public Works Department (PWD) officials to ensure repair of all broken roads before June 15.
The agencies concerned should maintain them even after construction. At the same time, the Public Health Department officials should ensure providing drinking water to every person under the ‘Har ghar mein nal aur har nal mein swachch jal’ policy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Also, officials must ensure cleaning of all sewerage and drains before the monsoon season.
Ranbir Gangwa said strict action will be taken if negligence is found in these works. He directed the Superintendent Engineer to submit the investigation report within two days on the complaint of contaminated drinking water supply in Siwan.
Ranbir Gangwa was addressing a meeting of Public Works and Public Health Department officials at the Public Works Department Rest House in Kaithal today.
After this, the minister heard the problems of the people who came from all over the district. Later, in the meeting of Public Works Department officials, he took a report on the condition of roads in the district.
He instructed the officials to keep checking the works of the contractors from time to time. If the work of any agency is not good, action should be taken against it as per the rules. No one should lose their life due to potholes in the roads or any other departmental deficiency. Officials should ensure that the condition of the roads remains good.
He said Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini had also announced in the Assembly that all the roads will be repaired within six months. He said the officials should ensure that no one faces any problem regarding drinking water.
He said there should be clean filters in water tanks and the chlorination process should be completed as per the rules. Wherever there is any kind of leakage, the officials must get them repaired immediately. Cleanliness of all sewerage and drains should be ensured before the rains so that no one faces any problem during the rains.
