Renukaswamy murder: Karnataka Police recover iron rods, rope used to kill

In Bengaluru, Karnataka Police have uncovered significant evidence related to the murder of 33-year-old Renukaswamy, allegedly targeted for derogatory remarks made against Kannada film actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and his wife, Pavithra Gowda.

Darshan Thoogudeepa and Pavithra Gowda have been apprehended in connection with Renukaswamy’s demise. Sources indicate that the Karnataka Police are awaiting the post-mortem report, anticipated to shed light on the precise cause of death and ascertain whether the victim was coerced into consuming alcohol prior to the assault.

Renukaswamy’s life came to a tragic end on June 8, with his body discovered dumped in a stormwater drain within Bengaluru’s Kamakshipalya vicinity. Police were alerted to the crime scene by a food delivery personnel who noticed canines scavenging around the victim’s remains. Subsequent investigations led to the arrest of 12 individuals, ultimately implicating Darshan and Pavithra based on statements obtained.

The bereaved parents of Renukaswamy expressed profound grief upon receiving news of their son’s untimely demise. “He was my only son. He got married just last year. I spoke to him only last Saturday. I seek justice,” lamented his father, Srinivasaiah, addressing reporters at the Kamakshipalya police station.
