Chandigarh, January 5
Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait targeted the Centre over the farmers’ protest at Khanauri and Shambhu borders. He alleged that the Center is prolonging the farmers’ protest with the sole aim of rupturing farmers’ unity and defaming Sikhs.
While addressing the farmers during Kisan Mazdoor Mahapanchayat organized in Tohana, District Fatehabad, Haryana, Rakesh Tikait said the ongoing protests suit the government.
He alleged that Center is intends to prolongs the farmers protest in Punjab more than the previous Delhi protests.
On Saturday, thousands of farmers gathered at the ‘kisan mahapanchayat’ at Khanauri border, marking the fourth significant demonstration by farmers in less than a month.
