AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, AAP Punjab President Aman Arora, Cabinet Ministers, AAP MLAs and many AAP leaders were present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Balbir Singh stated, “Under visionary leadership of our respected CM Bhagwant Mann, 881 Aam Aadmi Clinics have been established, providing free medicines and medical care to over three crore patients, of whom 1.25 crore are unique beneficiaries. These clinics have saved ₹1,200 crore in out-of-pocket expenses for the people, a testament to the government’s commitment to public welfare.”

Highlighting the strides made in secondary healthcare, Dr. Balbir Singh said, “For the first time in Punjab, all government hospitals are equipped with free medicines. This initiative is transforming healthcare delivery across the state. Additionally, inspired by the successful redevelopment of Ludhiana’s civil hospital through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and MPLAD funds, similar projects are now being planned for Jalandhar, Amritsar, Bathinda, and Barnala hospitals.”

Dr. Balbir Singh highlighted the government’s ambitious plans to transform Punjab’s healthcare sector. He shared that a substantial investment of over ₹11,000 crore is being allocated to improve healthcare infrastructure across the state. This includes the construction of large hospitals aimed at providing free treatment to everyone, ensuring accessible and affordable healthcare for all. Additionally, the government plans to establish multiple new medical colleges to address the shortage of medical professionals and enhance overall health outcomes in the state. These initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to building a robust and inclusive healthcare system in Punjab.

He emphasized the collaborative efforts between government and private sectors, announcing that Punjab is set to establish 12 new medical colleges, six in the government sector and six in the private sector. These will significantly enhance healthcare accessibility and quality for the people of Punjab.

The Health Minister also praised the Chief Minister’s commitment to public service and highlighted an upcoming milestone: “On March 23, in the land of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Nawanshahr, the foundation stone will be laid for the next phase of our healthcare revolution. This is a historic moment for Punjab, ensuring that every citizen has access to quality healthcare without financial burden.”

Concluding his address, Dr. Balbir Singh expressed his heartfelt gratitude on behalf of his cabinet colleagues and Punjab’s 3.5 crore citizens to AAP’s National Convenor and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. He said, “Your vision and guidance have empowered us to deliver transformative initiatives for the people. May Waheguru bless you with good health so you can continue to lead and inspire us.”
