Women prisoners undergo month-old tailoring course in Ludhiana central jail

Ludhiana, May 5

In association with Jeet Foundation, the jail department has organized a one-month tailoring course for the women prisoners of Ludhiana central jail.

Further, the jail authorities with the help of Rotary International, Ludhiana also arranged a one-day Mandala art therapy workshop for the women prisoners.

Kirti Grover from the organization, said that Mandala Art Therapy was an effective tool in reducing depression, anxiety, and stress.

Jail Superintendent Vijay Malhotra thanked both organizations and said that the course was held to bring the women inmates into the mainstream as with this course, they can stand on their feet after coming out of jail.
