Water to be released from Pong Dam and Shah Nehar Barrage Reservoir to down steam in river Beas

Hoshiarpur, July 12

Approximately 20000 Cusec water would be released from Pong reservoir to Shah Nehar Barrage Reservoir w.e.f 10.00AM on Wednesday (July 12). In this regard, the executive engineer of the Talwara canal division issued warning that as per maximum water carrying capacity 11500 Cusec will be released in MHC & the excess water that is 8500 Cusec approximately will be released from Shah Nehar Barrage down steam in river Beas.

The Civil, Drainage,and Flood control authorities/Units have been asked to take all necessary steps.
