Union Minister Hardeep Puri rules out any poll alliance with SAD in 2024 Lok Sabha general elections

Union MinisterPetroleum and Natural Gas , Housing and Urban affairs Hardeep Singh Puri today ruled out the possibility of any alliance with Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) in the forth coming Lok Sabha polls as BJP has suffered in Punjab because of 25 years old alliance with SAD which failed to come up to the expectations of people of Pun jab.

Talking to media persons at Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala after presiding over a rozgar mela function , Hardeep Puri said that alliance with SAD failed in security , social bonding and controlling law and order situation .

He said now the SAD wants an alliance with BJP when SAD has lost its credibility among voters in Punjab as shown in the recent poll results in which BJP gained considerably in the recent Lok Sabha by-election in Jalandhar and will perform better in the coming lok sabha polls in Punjab in 2024.

He said saner leaders of SAD are welcome to join BJP and contest election on BJP ticket.

Lambasting at AAP in Punjab, Puri said that freebies would not help the state to boost its economy as the State is already under heavy debt of more than 2.81 lakh crore.

Commenting on the debacle of BJP in recent concluded assembly election in Karnataka, the Minister said BJP performed well in the Karnataka as its vote share has not come down from 36 percent but admitted that BJP lost polls due to some other reasons and party would introspect and rectify it mistakes.

The Ministers gave away 210 appointment letters to the youths in the central government departments and also lauded the achievements of centre government.

RCF General Manager Ashesh Agrawal , Post Master General Manisha Bansal and Superintendent posts offices Kailesh Sharma also graced the occasion.
