Two operative of Lakhbir Landa group arrested with weapons by Amritsar Police: DGP

Chandigarh, July 15

Amritsar Police has arrested two operatives of Lakhbir Landa group and recovered weapons from them. This was disclosed by DGP Gaurav Yadav in a tweet.

He said that, “In an intelligence-based operation, Punjab Police busts interstate weapon smuggling module and apprehends 2 operatives of foreign-based terrorist Lakhbir @ Landa and recovers six sophisticated pistols along with magazines and ammunition FIR registered at State Special Operation Cell (#SSOC), Amritsar. Investigation on-going to establish backward & forward linkages to further arrest remaining accused and dismantle illegal weapon smuggling operating from Madhya Pradesh Stern action will be taken against all involved in organised crime & illegal weapon networks.”
