Swift action thwarts casualty in fire broke out at Nimbua Factory

Prompt action by the administration on a fire call averted casualty at Neelkanth factory situated at Nimbua, today.

Divulging details, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Himanshu Gupta said that as soon as the information received about the fire broke out at a factory in the area, fire tenders immediately rushed to the spot. Timely action has averted the major tragedy as the fire tenders doused the flames immediately, he further said while adding that no report of casualty and injury was received.

He appreciated the fire brigade staff for taking a call promptly and helping in controlling the fire. He said the probable cause of the fire incident is being considered as the short circuit but the further investigation is on to ascertain the cause.

Fire Officers from Derabassi, Baljit Singh and Mohinder Pal and Jaswant Singh from Zirakpur who contained the flames with the help of five fire tenders, said that it took about five hours to douse the flames completely.
