Swachh Bharat Mission: First ‘Waste to Wonder Park’ comes up at Talwandi in Ferozepur

: In a remarkable fusion of art and sustainability, the first Waste to Wonder Park has come up at Talwandi Bhai in the district, breathing new life into junk material.

Municipal Council Talwandi Bhai, following the instructions issued by the government and under the Waste to Wonder component of the Swachh Bharat Mission, took the old material junk. in the park and converted that junk into various exhibitions through his innovative method of drawing and colouring them into pots, flower pots, selfie points and beautiful-looking artefacts.

Dr Sukhpal Singh, SI MC Talwandi Bhai informed that as per the instructions of PMIDC Chandigarh and as per the guidelines of Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. Nidhi Kumdh under the leadership of Mrs Poonam Bhatnagar, EO, we first collected old junk and different types of old materials and from that collected material, with the guidance of Prof. Dr Mokshi from Dev Samaj College for Women, jointly developed different models in the park.

He said this Way to Wonder Park shows that no raw material is junk. We can reuse this junk to produce usable items if we want. These artefacts in the park are proving to be very beautiful and effective. We will also prepare these types of artworks in the other parks of Talwandi Pai. This will create awareness among the people about recycling and reuse of waste.
